Back from SDV

I got back from SDV right before it started snowing! Whew! I had a great time, got to meet some wonderful people and even got to dance on chairs... which I haven't done in quite some time! LOL While there we got an order of Sassafrass Lass in! It's adorable paper... each and every sheet is double sided and scalloped! WAY too cute!

Are you Watching?

Are you watching the Inauguration of Barak Obama? What do you think? I'm thinking I'm glad I'm watching from the warmth of my job.

I want to see if you have an patriotic layouts. Everyone who submits I'll put your name in a hat and pick a winner and send something to you. An extra entry if you are able to incorporate the Inaugurartion into it. Be sure to tell your friends!

When you have your layout go to and go under the scrapbooking section and you'll see a spot to upload your layouts.

Have fun!

Simple Scrapbooks says Goodbye... :(

I hate that the economy is hitting so many people! Simple Scrapbooks was a favorite of mine.

The Official Announcement

Loyal readers and contributors,I am saddened to share that, due to difficult conditions in both the economy and the publishing market, the May/June 2009 issue of Simple Scrapbooks magazine (on sale April 14) will be its last. Since its founding in 2002, Simple Scrapbooks has been simplifying the process of scrapbooking for tens of thousands of scrapbookers worldwide, providing solutions that keep them engaged in and passionate about sharing their stories and memories. The end of Simple Scrapbooks as a magazine is not the end of this message. It will continue as part of Creating Keepsakes magazine, where, starting with the July 2009 issue, we will integrate Simple concepts and personalities into our editorial mix, and continue providing ideas and inspiration to help beginning and experienced scrapbookers alike fit scrapbooking into their busy lives. Implementing these editorial changes does not mean Creating Keepsakes readers will lose the content they know and love. It only means that the magazine will be further enriched by the Simple Scrapbooks approach—the best of both worlds in one publication! With 75% of readers subscribing to both publications, CK Media feels this change will also benefit subscribers who are feeling the current economic hardships. All current Simple Scrapbooks subscriptions will be honored through the May/June 2009 issue, at which point any remaining issues will be fulfilled by Creating Keepsakes magazine, beginning with the July 2009 issue. If you are already a subscriber to Creating Keepsakes, your subscription will be extended accordingly. Any questions regarding submissions can be directed to or by calling 866/334-8149.Thank you for your loyalty and support. We have enjoyed our association with you, our loyal readers, and look forward to continuing it as part of the Creating Keepsakes family.

Happy New Year & Scrapbook 911 Submissions...

Did everyone have a happy New Year? The family and I stayed home and did nothing. The kids didn't make it up and my husband and I barely made it up as well. (It's so sad! LOL)

I'd love to hear what you did for New Years so leave a comment and let me know!

The store is in the process of moving... .I forgot how much I hate moving especially when I'm moving boxes of paper! LOL I'm looking at a cute place very close to the local high school... we'll see how that works out!

I thought this was interesting so I figured I'd pass it along:
